I’ve had this guy for years but it’s probably only the second or third time he’s been out of the shed — I’m always forgetting about him! He’s blending in here pretty good — very subtle — but I bet he’ll pop tomorrow with a little bit of snow. ⛄️❄️🌨️ #happyholidays The pre-dessert course of an incredible 11-course tasting menu at Mayta. @maytalima Vacation knitting 🧶, another Musselburgh on the needles. A beautiful, relaxing morning in Lima. Hiked up another mountain today, right across from the entrance to our guest house in Ollantaytambo (2nd photo & rooftop breakfast room/lounge). Machu Picchu wasn’t enough, I guess, but now my legs are balking! Spotted some sheep & alpaca & other livestock (difficult to photograph!) on the ride over to Cusco. We’re heading back to Lima (and my suitcase 😍) tomorrow. Just a few more. There are no words, really. We lucked out weather-wise. The boys survived the stairs of death (upon which no one has ever 💀). We saw llamas and lovely flora. It was a lotta lotta lotta lotta steps, breathtaking & awe-inspiring at every turn. Happy Thanksgiving from Machu Picchu. My luggage was delivered today but not in time for our departure for Cusco. I went shopping today & have a few new things, including a toothbrush, and here I am in Ollantaytambo, making do & heading to Machu Picchu early tomorrow morning. Que sera sera! I had a good meal this evening (including my first taste of alpaca) with a good beer, and now… good night! Well, we've arrived but my suitcase is MIA. Fingers crossed it arrives before we depart for Cusco tomorrow. 🤞🏼 I think it’s all gonna fit into one (checked) bag. Half of it is stuff that will stay, so plenty of room for gifts & souvenirs (& possibly yarn 🥳) on the return. The journey to Peru begins tomorrow afternoon, with Thanksgiving at Machu Picchu! 🇵🇪
