1.5: Go Pack Go

For the second time in recent weeks, I chauffeured Ann & fam to a Packers game… this week, Mack was with us (haven’t seen him in a while), and also JUNAH!

It was his first Packers game… not his last, though he’d like the next one to be warmer!

It was CCCCOOOOLLLLDDDD! And it didn’t go our way, but the Packers are still in the hunt with a playoff game next week.

It was a day-off Friday, and I ran a couple of errands with Kate. The route just happened to go by Cheeky Donuts and, well, that’s an London Fog glazed & a Pistachio Cardamom, and that’s definitely not the last Cheeky Donut I’ll ever see.

In fact, I might see another tomorrow.

P.S. I’m pretty proud of the fact that for most of the day, and even at 10:20p, I still remember that it’s Friday. What a crazy coupla weeks!

My 2024 Ravelry project page looks pathetic…

…and if wasn’t for that last-minute finish of the Scoreboard Cowl, it would be even worse! I don’t even know how many dishcloths I made during the “slump”… I just kept knitting until I ran out of yarn! I’ve been giving them away here & there; just gave one to Annie the other day.

The Family Temperature Blanket is never far away — the whole thing is in a tote by my chair, and I think about it a lot. Hopefully, 2025 is the year!

I thought for a minute that I’d finish the Imagined Landscapes Gnana December MKAL gnome, but I still have a ways to go. Mostly, I’m blaming The Empress for that — I can’t knit & read subtitles at the same time! I’m enjoying both the knitting & the show, though (we’ve just started S2… watching time is very limited at the moment).

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Junah & I stayed up until midnight Eastern (11 Central) to watch the ball drop — his first!!

There was just the right amount of hanging out today, and I roasted a couple of chickens for dinner (and future soup). Annie gave Junah a GIANT UNO game & we played a (long) round of that, despite hand cramping & comical efforts at shuffling.

It got too late last night for s’mores, so we did that tonight. Oh my gosh, a winter fire & s’mores… SO GOOD!
