My annual thanks to Feral Knitter Janine Bajus for sharing this great pattern! It is available as a free Ravelry download, with a request/in exchange for a donation of any size to Heifer International.

BTW, today is a FANTASTIC DAY

to MAKE A DONATION

as it's GIVING TUESDAY

and EVERY GIFT IS MATCHED!

This blanket remains my favorite knitting project! It is used and cherished as much today as ever.

The itchy part? Well, I have recently been reading about the Fringe & Friends Logalong

  1. Parcheesi is just so brilliant and lovely and wonderful and fun and….I love it. And now you’ve gone and shown it again just when I was thinking of selfish knitting for after the holidays: Arrows? Guernsey Wrap? Corrugated Shawl? I have the Parcheesi pattern but had successfully hidden it from sight. Now it needs to come out again. I definitely need more hours in each and every day! Happy Birthday to Parcheesi.

  2. Parcheesi is also my favorite of ANYONES knitting projects. There has never been any better. When you show your grandkids sleeping wrapped in Parcheesi I get the best feeling ever! I’ve also been thinking of making a blanket and now I wonder if I should join in.(?!)

  3. Oh my, it seems like just yesterday Parcheesi was barely toddling around the house. Indeed, your version is one project that just makes me smile whenever I get a glimpse of it. Happy Birthday, Parcheesi!

  4. That is one amazing piece, Vicki! but wow, has it really be SEVEN years already??!! (and yep, same itch here… I actually went down a 10-stitch blanket hole on Ravelry the other day – yikes!!)

  5. Your Parcheesi is on of my favorite knitting projects EVER. It is just the ideal combination of yarn, color, texture, color, and color!!! (Did I mention color???) Happy Birthday, Parcheesi. XO
