I'm joining Kat & the Unravelers today for Unraveled Wednesday!
KNITTING:
The 7th row is underway! I love that it's all knit together and I won't have to sew 35 squares together to make a blanket. The downside is that I don't have the option to move things around, which I'd really like to do. It is what it is and sometimes there are flaws we just have to live with. The most important thing is that there's love in every stitch!
READING:
I finished A Swim in a Pond in the Rain: In Which Four Russians Give a Master Class on Writing, Reading, and Life by George Saunders on my way home from work last night. That took way longer than it should have. I don't know what's next in my listening queue but I have plenty to choose from.
What We Wish Were True by Tallu Schuyler Quinn is still the book on my nightstand.
Tulips are coming up outside the back door! Everything is wet… we had thunderous sleet/hail last evening and some heavy rain passed through overnight, along with thunder & lightning. There's a dusting of snow ahead in the near forecast, but I spy a couple of 70F days next week! It's a rollercoaster!

I think the blanket looks great in its current arrangement! May the rollercoaster bring you some dry warmth and more signs of spring.
The blanket is looking amazing. I think it’s probably a good thing you can’t move the pieces around given that you have a deadline, maybe?
There’s great wisdom in the words “it is what it is” and I hope once you’re finished with the blanket that you will be able to love it just the way it is.
The blanket is fabulous Vicki! And you just know (as do I and we bloggers) that it will be loved so much! Rollercoasters give me an upset stomach…and the weather too! Hope yours evens out.
Love the blanket. You had mentioned a border a while back. Have you decided on what you will do?
The blanket looks like a beautiful labor of love. You are right, it will be just fine, especially with love in every stitch. The weather does seem to be a roller coaster most everywhere. Hopefully we will all settle into Spring soon but then maybe Spring just is a roller coaster.
I agree with Carole on the wisdom of “it is what it is” and your take away of each stitch being filled with love. I’d say that makes what it is something incredibly delightful! XO
I think the blanket is just marvelous, Vicki. And . . . the border will tie it all together in even more wonderful ways, too. (But the love in every stitch is the real Secret Sauce.) I’ve finally got stuff (other than weeds. . . ) coming up in my garden. Spring IS coming. (But just as fickle as ever.) XO
