Right Now...

Right now

Looking… pretty in PINK!

Anticipating… a super-fun family movie date tomorrow to see BARBIE! Everyone's in a tizzy about what to wear. Barbie would wear a Pussyhat, wouldn't she??

Cooking… tonight it will be Sloppy Joes & corn-on-the-cob, along with a salad, for one last family meal & get-together with Maddy. She'll begin her journey back to OZ right after the movie tomorrow. (I already took Annie to the airport on Wednesday morning.)

Enjoying… the third orchid blossom!

Excited about… jumping on my bike! Thinking of doing Just signed up to do the Peninsula Fall Challenge in Door County again this September.

Feeling good about… making some lifestyle/nutrition changes, which will make ^^ a lot easier.

Knitting… well, let's see… I have a pair of socks underway, a Christmas stocking, a blanket, and will soon be working out/casting on a skirt!

Sewing… not much, but I did get the machine threaded up so I could do some mending/hemming the other day. That's a start.

Wanting… that glass panel (or similar) but not in that $600 trellis! I've been unable to find anything about the artist, but I have made a couple of fused glass pieces in the past… so maybe there's a workshop in my future.

Watching… not a whole lot, but I have been delighted to catch a couple of Murphy Brown reruns in the past week or so, both with Murphy's mother — played by Colleen Dewhurst, who is one of my favorite actors in the history of acting.

Wearing… Crocs. haha.

Took a quick Door County trip on Wednesday with my girls — for cherries & lunch!!

Wishing… that Australia and Peru weren't so far away.

Wondering… what's up with you right now!?

Happy Weekend!!

  1. What a fun time you have been having!! I can’t believe Maddy is already on her way back to Oz. Boo-Hoo. I know a group of girls who just saw the Barbie movie the other day and loved it! I didn’t know you biked!! Looks like hilly terrain though – not for moi! Ha. Very cool glass panel. Hope you can find a class or two. That last pic of you and all 3 of your girls is fabulous!!

  2. Love the photo of you and your girls all together! I know nothing about fused glass, but certainly the pattern in that panel doesn’t look too complex — and I’m certain you could manage to make something like it for a lot less than $600! Colleen Dewhurst will always be Marilla from Anne of Green Gables to me, thanks to the 1980s CBC series.

  3. I am waiting to see Barbie with my sister . . . who is coming for a visit next month. 🙂 (Can’t wait; I’ve heard it’s just great.) I can’t believe it’s already time to say goodbye to Maddy and Annie. Wow. Summer just flies by, doesn’t it? Love that fused glass piece. It would look just perfect in my garden . . . if you feel like making two?????? And, oh my! Ginny! Looking so grown-up all of a sudden . . . (Pink is definitely her color.) XOXO

  4. Channel all of those pink vibes for Barbie! I love that picture of you with all 3 of your daughters together, what a great time you all must have had. It goes by too quickly, I know. That glass piece is awesome, I bet you can do it!

  5. I’m sorry you have to say goodbye to Maddy, but glad you got all got to have so much fun together. I especially love that photo of you and the girls and that fused glass piece (but I’m with you; that price is a bit too much for my budget)!

  6. How wonderful to have the WHOLE crew together! I love that bottom photo from Door County and the idea of a “quick” road trip for lunch and cherries. Saw the weekending post and LOL about the PG-13 – I’m sure Ginny and Malina loved it! Sara and I are making a movie date for early August (I guess I need to find something pink?!) …and finally, when I saw that beautiful glass photo, I thought it was going to be inspiration for your next epic knitting project!
