KNITTING:
I’m nearly to the end of September on Ali’s panel for the Temperature Blanket.
Closing in on the half-way mark!
There’s not much to show yet, and I don’t remember exactly when I started, but this is the current Colourwheel Musselburgh for Maddy/Viv.
I’m very excited about making them both the same hat with the same yarn, but different…
Had a quick little chat with Maddy over the long weekend, too, and they are narrowing down their “dates in the States” for next summer… likely Maddy from about the middle of July, and Viv joining her for the first 2-3 weeks in August before heading back to Australia. They won’t be “here” here the entire time, as there are many places to go & people to see, but I’ll be happy for all the time we get!
READING:
Reading is just, like, super slow & the same… Meryl Streep reading Tom Lake. I’ve been exhausted at bedtime, so there’s been no reading there. I need the sleep, I guess.

I am so happy to see those temperature pieces again! And I think I have an “in-progress” Musselburgh hat somewhere… hmm, I need to find that! 🙂
I’m nearly finished with a Musselburgh I’ve been carrying around for a very long time. (I messed up the decreases – if you can believe it – and had to rip back just yesterday.) Such a great project for when you don’t need to think much (although – just sayin – it IS good to think again when you start the decreases). Love the temperature blanket — and I love that Maddy and Viv are planning their visit to the states! XO (And reading . . . is NOT an Olympic sport. Slow reading is reading all the same. No medals, y’know?)
Oh yay for Maddy and Viv visiting this summer! And what fun to be knitting them matching/not matching hats. I still haven’t knit a Musselburgh yet. I keep thinking of it and then some other shiny object catches my attention. So good to see your temperature panels again.
I also love seeing your temperature knitting and am looking forward to another epic blanket from your needles. I used the Colourwheel yarn for my Musselburgh and it’s one of my favorite knits ever. And ditto for what Kym said about reading.

It’s captivating, and I’d love to hear how you’re doing it. (I just started my first temp project, long stitching on upcycled materials–not a knit. But I find all the different temp projects interesting. I’d love to read more about yours!

I’m new to temp projects and really enjoy seeing how people do them differently. (I’m doing a long-stitch project on upcycled material this year. So not a knit.) I love your panels and look forward to seeing Sept-Dec.!
The temperature blanket is really looking awesome! And the hat will be wonderful, too, it’s a great pattern. It’s nice to have something to look forward to for the summer and I love the expression Dates in the States. As for reading, whatever pace works for you and your days is perfectly okay.
I love your temperature blanket so much, probably because I’d never have the patience for all those strands and all those ends, so I’m delighted to see you’re still working on it.
