We’re in mostly sunny Mexico… the wind howled yesterday and I experienced rain here for the first time, but it’s nice to be here, anyway!

The large painting/mural that we installed a year ago suffered a little water damage during hurricane season, so we’re here to fix it (and I think we have…).
Tomorrow we’ll be heading up to Todos Santos for a few days. Rusty will be showing new work & doing some demos at Galería Logan during the open studio tour that they have each year.

Kate is with us — she snapped this photo during lunch at the harbor in Cabo San Lucas a couple of days ago. It’s the first time we ever went down there (and I don’t think I really need to return… ever). She & I will hang out in Todos Santos while Rusty does his thing during the day, and maybe run up to La Paz.

But for now, you’ll mostly find me here with a beverage & my knitting, looking up now & then to see if I can spot any whales, or count the boats, or watch a cruise ship sail by.

And thinking of my mom today…

…she would have been 86 and probably still ducking the paparazzi!

That’s just gorgeous, Vicki! I hope you are doing okay with today’s birthday remembrance of your mom and I hope that sneaky grief stays far far away!
That spot on the lanai looks like heaven to me.
