I’m joining Kat & the Unravelers for Unraveled Wednesday!
KNITTING:
We hit 64F yesterday afternoon! For the second or third time already, I cracked a window & the sunroof on the way home from work.

And took my knitting outside for photos on the sidewalk. I knit the rest of that second motif last night & am ready to start the third. I’m considering throwing a random fourth-row farfalle in there, too.

The color progression of the Noro Ito is similar on both sleeves, but not identical. Just going with the flow…
READING:
I finally finished No Time on My Hands by Grace Snyder. There was a bit more about her quilting toward the end, but not as much throughout as I expected… or wanted. I rarely had any sense that it was happening, some vague references to bits of fabric here & there, and all of a sudden there are hundreds of hand-stitched quilts & she’s winning awards. It was an autobiography with her daughter assisting & it was interesting in many ways, if not a literary masterwork.
I’ve started reading The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating by Elisabeth Tova Bailey — recently mentioned by both Bonnie & Kym. It’s hard to describe, but I’m really enjoying it.

Your sweater is awesome, I love how the Noro color changes are working out. I need to read that snail book, too!
Your Farfalle is looking fantastic! I love how the Noro is doing its glorious thing! I agree with Carole, I need to find The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating!
I saw your 5 point bomber on MDK this week, I recognised the photo before reading the caption. Worthy inclusion!
Your quilt is beautiful. (I’m a few days behind!)
Grace’s Petit Point quilt is part of the State Fair exhibit at the Fenwick Gallery in Washington DC. It’s absolutely amazing!
The whole exhibit is well worth a trip. Lots of quilts but also all kinds of things that I had no idea were part of state fair crafts and displays. And they have a butter cow.
Yay for a second sleeve! And yay for opening the windows! We haven’t been able to experience consistent spring weather yet and keep going back and forth between heat and open windows or AC. It’s annoying!
Aren’t random days where we can open sunroofs and windows just a TREAT in April? I love it! I also love your sleeves. They’re so gorgeous, Vicki. And Noro just works so well at going with the flow. Because, really . . . it’s a Zen experience at heart. XO
The sweater looks so pretty. I love the Noro in the design. I read No Time on My Hands a long time ago. Although I enjoyed it because of the connection to quilting and Nebraska history, I didn’t think it was great. At some point, I may have seen one of her quilts made of postage stamp sized squares on display somewhere in the state. It’s all a little fuzzy.
