Labor Day Weekend Book Bingo Update

2016 BOTNS BB

Lookie there! Progress. And I ought to finish All The Light We Cannot See by the end of the holiday weekend.

Meanwhile, I finally made a decision about a new audio book — one that wasn't even on the radar, of course. The Life We Bury is by Allen Eskens; it's not his first book, but it is his first novel. I'm only a few chapters in… and won't be surprised if that square also turns blue by the end of the weekend!

The book I chose to record for the "read aloud" square is Hairy Maclary's Caterwaul Caper, which Junah LOVED! He was especially tuned in and entertained by my excellent caterwauling and barking. Haha.

  1. One of the things I miss most is reading aloud to my kids, and I’m so glad to hear about this happiness with the next generation (along with excellent caterwauling)! Looking forward to your thoughts as you progress; I’ve never read Room and I keep putting Little Dribbling on the bottom of the pile. Happy Weekend and Happy Reading!

  2. What fun to read a book to a child. I loved reading to me younger brother and sisters. We read the same books over and over and they would sometimes recite the next page before I even turned it. Good job on Summer Bingo!

  3. Book bingo was, quite simply, the best thing I did all summer! However, you have me beat with Junah reading! I am looking forward to reading with Genevieve later this month when we head to Michigan to visit!
