Kate needed a couple of totes for a little pack-up & move of her Etsy workspace, so I emptied a few for her… my workroom was already a mess, a little more yarn on the table rather than in a tote for a few days wasn’t going to make much difference!
I started repacking those totes yesterday, with a discerning eye. I’ve unpacked & repacked much of it before (perhaps several times), so it was time to make a call on a few things.

Six baby sweaters that have all been knit, but not entirely finished. Some of them need complete sewing up & finishing, some of them need just a sleeve attached, and some of them need only buttons.
I posted about them on FB with a call for takers… I don’t have any babies on the horizon, and I’m just not going to finish them.
Kate’s packing them up, as we speak, to ship them off to a taker in Monterey, CA. I found at least three other sweaters in similar shape since I took photos & posted, so they’re going, too.
Hello, what? I’m definitely a “process knitter.”
It feels so much “lighter” in my workroom — what a difference nine little sweaters can make!

I’m excited for you! This is a big win for everyone – you are freed up, somebody else gets some lovely handknits, and that feeling of things gone to a good home is priceless. Well done!
I’m so glad those sweaters to be have found new loving homes (for new people to be)! Enjoy that freed-up space.
It’s great that you found takers for these — they’re so sweet and are going to make some babies very happy!
That’s great, Vicki! I’m so glad you found a place for your nearly-finished baby sweaters. (Those will be some happy baby-mommas when they receive those beautiful sweaters.) And I’ll bet it DOES feel lighter . . . to be free of those unfinished projects clogging your workspace.
Well, I can’t say I’m surprised by your almost finished baby sweaters. How exciting they will have the day in the sun. We have always known you’re a process knitter. 🙂
What a good idea! And they will be loved and cherished by someone who needs them, too.
How freeing to send the little sweaters off to another home. Now you have space for more process knitting.
