No regrets. Except that it’s winter, so it’s already dirty!
I didn’t set out to buy a brand new car, but here we are. It’s my fourth — the first being a 1979 Toyota Corolla, the second a 1982 Pontiac Firebird, the third a 2000 Saturn, and now a 2025 Subaru Outback. In between, I’ve had a Buick Skylark, Chevy Monza, a different Subaru (Outback, too, I think), a Buick station wagon (don’t remember the make), a Horizon (for a minute), a Ford Escort, a Nissan Altima, a Ford Escape, and a Ford Explorer. I think that’s all of them. Rusty still drives the Escape, and Kate is buying the Explorer.
It has a few more bells & whistles than I’m used to, but the learning curve isn’t too steep, and I think we’ll get along just fine.

Ooh, very nice! I’m thinking about replacing my 13-year-old Forester and your Outback looks like it might be something worth considering. I have hardly any bells & whistles and I’d like a few (like that great display). I hope you enjoy many safe driving miles with it!

I’m only on my second car (I don’t count the station wagon I drove when I was a teen because it was technically still my mother’s car). My first was a Subaru that I had for 14 years, and it had zero bells and whistles — even the seat adjustment was manual! Yours looks pretty spiffy, and I know it’ll be great in the snow!

I LOVE my Outback. LOVE. I bet you’ll have many happy years together. We’ve had 5 Subarus over the years (since 1986) — 3 of them Outbacks — and they have all been great cars. (And we keep our cars for at least 10 years before replacing . . . )
